  The 2026 K2 Basecamp Queensland Youth Lead + Speed Titles is the event in which the Queensland State Champions for all youth lead + Speed categories will be decided.

  The championship event also acts a qualifying event for the 2027 Australian Youth Lead Nationals (U15, U17, U19 only).

  MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMP

  Rope Climbers in Open C & Para will attempt all routes on top rope.

  For Open C & Para, the event will include two (2) flash heats for each category (one attempt at each route) in the qualifying round. The top eight (8**) climbers in the Qualifying round will compete in a Finals round.

  Lead Climbers in Open A, Open B, Inclusive & Masters will lead all routes. The event will include two (2) flash heats for each category (one attempt at each route) in the Qualifying round. The top eight (8**) climbers in the Qualifying round will compete in a Finals round.

  Speed climbers in all categories will have two qualifying attempts, Open C will compete on the Introduction Speed wall (Blue) and Open B, Inclusive and Masters will compete on the 10m (shortened) adult speed wall (Red) **The quota for Rope and Lead finals will be 8 - where there are less than 16 in the preceding round, 9 - from 16 to 25 competitors and 10 - if there are more than 25 competitors.

  Open to all SCA members, these new events for the Speed discipline provide additional opportunities for current and aspiring athletes to go faster than before more than once a year here at home.

  Adding more essential performance opportunities sees greater support for our Speed Team in the lead up to LA and Brisbane.

  The 2026 WA Youth Boulder State Titles is WA’s premiere youth bouldering competition. With categories to suit all ages and all levels of climbers it's a great opportunity to come and be part of the supportive and exciting WA sport climbing community. This event will be the selection event for the 2027 Youth National Bouldering Championships for relevant age categories.
