Australian Lead and Speed Nationals

Australia's strongest climbers converged on Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym Villawood on the 30th June and 1st July for the Australian Lead and Speed Nationals.

The women's event went down to the wire with Overseas guest Sophie Franoux and Monique Forestier having to be separated on time after scoring the same on their 2 heats and their final route. Daniel Fisher dominated a strong men's field to successfully defend his crown. A huge shout out goes to the volunteers who helped the weekend run so smoothly, fairly and on-time. Thanks also to all the climbers that participated with great spirit and skill. Our sport keeps growing and getting stronger every year.

And, a special thank you to our overseas guests, particualry those from New Caledonia who travelled to Australia for this event.

Australian Boulder Nationals 

After a weekend of amazing climbing, incredible athleticism and wonderful sportsmanship, the Australian Boulder Nationals is over again for another year. Congratulations to all the competitors, you were sensational. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped out. You're the backbone of our wonderful sport. And, congratulations to the amazing routesetting team; Carlie, Christian and Scotty who provided boulder circuits that were varied and both physically and mentally challenging.
